Finance Director

Key Responsibilities

1. Finance Management

• Lead the overall finance function of the Hong Kong business, covering accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury and internal controls.
• Own monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing and management reporting.
• Provide timely and accurate financial information and insights to the CEO and senior management.
• Develop and continuously enhance financial policies, processes and internal control frameworks.

2. Budgeting & Business Analysis

• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and financial planning.
• Monitor financial performance and conduct budget-versus-actual variance analysis.
• Provide profitability, cost and business performance analysis to support management decisions.
• Partner closely with the CEO and business leaders on financial planning and resource allocation.

3. Licensed Entity & Regulatory Finance

• Oversee finance and regulatory financial matters for the Group's Hong Kong licensed entity/entities.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant SFC financial and capital requirements, including Liquid Capital and the Financial Resources Rules (FRR).
• Manage or coordinate regulatory financial reporting and filings.
• Work closely with Compliance and Legal teams on regulatory inspections, audits and other compliance-related matters.

4. Treasury, Audit & Tax

• Oversee cash flow, liquidity and treasury management.
• Manage banking and financial institution relationships.
• Lead annual statutory audits and tax filings, and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors and other professional service providers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Hong Kong accounting, tax and regulatory requirements.

5. Business & Strategic Partnership

• Act as a key finance partner to the CEO and senior management.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations for new business initiatives, strategic projects and major management decisions.
• Support cross-entity and cross-border finance matters where required.
• Continue to strengthen the finance function, processes and team as the business grows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Prior experience working within an SFC-licensed financial institution in Hong Kong is required.
• Approximately 10+ years of relevant finance experience, including solid finance management experience.
• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong accounting, taxation, audit, treasury and internal controls.
• Solid understanding of SFC Financial Resources Rules (FRR), Liquid Capital requirements and relevant regulatory reporting.
• Experience in wealth management, asset management, EAM, securities/brokerage, fund management, private banking or family office is highly preferred.
• CPA / HKICPA / ACCA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
• Strong commercial mindset and ability to provide financial insights beyond traditional accounting and reporting.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work directly with the CEO and business leaders.
• Fluency in English and Chinese; proficiency in Mandarin is preferred.
