Finance Director

Role Description The part-time remote Finance Director will oversee the organization’s financial strategy, planning, and reporting. This role includes preparing, reviewing, and interpreting financial statements, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, and monitoring cash flow to support informed decision-making. The Finance Director will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and provide clear financial insights to senior leadership and stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities also include identifying risks and opportunities, improving financial processes and controls, collaborating with cross-functional teams on financial matters, and supporting strategic initiatives with data-driven analysis.

Qualifications

• Strong finance and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide clear recommendations.
• Experience in financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy.
• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Expertise in financial reporting, including the development of reports and dashboards for leadership and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and internal control best practices.
• Advanced skills in spreadsheet and financial modeling tools (e.g., Excel or similar software).
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with experience presenting financial information to non-finance audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; advanced certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, MBA) are beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, managing priorities and deadlines effectively.
