Key Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership & Strategy

  • Serve as the principal finance adviser to the CEO and Management Team.
  • Develop financial plans, forecasts, budgets, and scenarios aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Provide financial analysis for major business decisions, investments, pricing, client contracts, expansion, and financing.
  • Establish and monitor financial KPIs and management dashboards.

Treasury & Cash Flow

  • Maintain short- and medium-term cash flow forecasts, including a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast.
  • Ensure sufficient funding for payroll, statutory obligations, suppliers, and operating requirements.
  • Optimize utilization of credit lines, loans, and other working-capital facilities.
  • Manage relationships with banks and financing partners and recommend appropriate funding structures.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing and ensure proper reconciliation of bank accounts, receivables, payables, payroll, loans, taxes, and other balance-sheet accounts.
  • Maintain accounting policies and controls consistent with applicable accounting standards.

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance

  • Oversee all BIR registrations, filings, payments, reconciliations, and tax reporting.
  • Develop legitimate and compliant tax-planning strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.
  • Manage BIR audits, Letters of Authority, assessments, tax exposures, and related documentation.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and legal counsel when necessary, and ensure timely remittance and reconciliation of statutory obligations.

Accounts Receivable & Collections

  • Oversee AR aging, collection performance, and client credit exposure.
  • Establish collection targets, escalation procedures, and credit-control policies.
  • Work with Operations and Business Development to manage financially risky or overdue accounts.
  • Monitor Days Sales Outstanding and recommend actions to improve working capital.

Profitability & Commercial Finance

  • Evaluate profitability by client, project, service line, and business unit.
  • Review pricing proposals and ensure sufficient margins considering payroll, statutory costs, overhead, financing costs, taxes, and risk.
  • Identify unprofitable accounts and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support Business Development in financial modeling and commercial negotiations.

Internal Controls & Risk Management

  • Establish strong controls over payments, disbursements, banking, payroll, advances, reimbursements, and purchasing.
  • Maintain proper segregation of duties and maker-checker-approver processes.
  • Identify financial, compliance, fraud, and operational risks and recommend mitigating controls.
  • Develop and maintain Finance policies, SOPs, approval matrices, and documentation standards.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead and develop the Finance & Accounting team.
  • Establish clear responsibilities, performance standards, and accountability.
  • Improve processes and reduce dependence on manual or person-dependent workflows.
  • Build succession plans and strengthen Finance capability as the company grows.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA strongly preferred; MBA, CFA, or other relevant postgraduate/professional qualification is an advantage.
