About CSSC
Founded in 1981, CSSC is a nonprofit serving older adults and their families in the Town of Colonie and the surrounding Capital Region. Our services include four independent senior living communities, transportation, senior dining, Bright Horizons Social Adult Day Services, THE CENTER at CSSC, and other programs that support independence and quality of life. We value collaboration, respect, and work-life balance.

· Maintain cash-flow projections and forecasts, anticipating funding needs and reimbursement timing.
· Oversee accounting for senior housing properties and related entities, including rental revenue, reserves, capital spending, and allocations.
· Manage financial reporting, reimbursement requests, and compliance for grants, contracts, and restricted contributions.
· Oversee payroll accounting, accounts payable and receivable, banking, and internal controls; supervise and support finance staff.
· Coordinate annual audits and applicable tax and regulatory filings with external professionals.
· Improve financial systems and processes, and make financial information understandable and useful to colleagues.
What You Bring
· A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience.
· At least five years of progressively responsible accounting or financial-management experience, including budgeting, financial statements, month-end closing, and audit preparation.
· Strong, hands-on Controller-level skills in general-ledger management, reconciliations, internal controls, and financial reporting.
· Working knowledge of nonprofit accounting, grants, restricted funds, and cost allocation.
· Experience supervising staff or reviewing others’ work, plus strong spreadsheet and accounting-system skills.
· Clear communication, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to helping colleagues solve problems.
Preferred Qualifications
· CPA designation or advanced training in accounting or finance.
· Financial leadership experience in a nonprofit, senior services, housing, or human-services organization.
· Experience with multiple entities, affordable or senior housing, property accounting, and reserve accounts.
· Familiarity with HUD or New York State housing-related financial requirements.
· Experience with government grants, reimbursement contracts, and capital funding.
· Familiarity with Yardi, Fund EZ, ADP or comparable property-management and payroll systems.
