The ideal candidate will possess robust expertise in accounting standards such as IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), along with proven leadership in financial analysis, risk management, and industry-specific financial regulations. As a key member of the executive team, you will champion data-driven decision-making, optimize financial processes, and foster a culture of fiscal responsibility and innovation.

Duties

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategic financial plans aligned with organizational goals, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling.
  • Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, including general ledger management, balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, cost accounting, and cash flow analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements across governmental accounting standards and industry-specific regulations.
  • Manage treasury functions such as investment management, risk analysis, and liquidity planning to safeguard assets and optimize returns.
  • Develop comprehensive financial reports, interpret complex financial data using data analytics tools, and communicate insights clearly to stakeholders for informed decision-making.
  • Supervise the finance team’s operations—fostering professional growth while maintaining high standards of accuracy in financial statement preparation and account analysis.
  • Drive initiatives in cost control, revenue management (including ASC 606 revenue recognition standards), and profit & loss optimization to enhance organizational sustainability.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to evaluate new opportunities through financial projection models and industry market analysis.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial regulations, industry trends, and best practices in financial software systems to ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in finance leadership roles with a strong background in accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle Financials or equivalent enterprise software.
  • Deep understanding of IFRS, GAAP, ASC 606 standards, and governmental accounting principles.
  • Proven expertise in financial analysis, risk management, budget development, forecasting techniques, and strategic planning.
  • Strong knowledge of industry-specific regulations affecting non-profit or corporate sectors; experience with compliance management is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively while managing complex projects involving cost control and fiscal management.
  • Technical proficiency with Excel data analysis tools and other data analytics platforms for detailed financial modeling and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret complex financial concepts clearly for diverse audiences.
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field; advanced certifications such as CPA or CFA are preferred.
