About the job

Want to join a company growing 10x a year and build the finance system that keeps up with it? We're looking for someone to take ownership of Prenew's financial operations and turn them into an automated, AI-native finance system that scales with us. You'll work directly with the founders, and as the company grows, so will your scope and responsibility.

What is Prenew

Prenew exists to make sure no good machine goes to waste. We’re changing the used computer market by buying hardware from consumers, running it through our AI-native refurbishing process and selling it onwards. We're a VC-backed startup founded in Finland operating all over Europe, with physical hubs in Espoo and Berlin employing 50+ people.

What you'll actually be doing

• Owning our financial operations: payments, payroll, monthly closes and intercompany transfers

• Building an AI-native finance stack using APIs, automation tools and AI

• Working with our external accountants, bookkeepers and tax advisors in Finland and Germany

• Building real-time visibility into cash, margins and runway, so we can make decisions together as we scale

What success looks like

To succeed in this role, you run and build our finance function without needing to be micromanaged. You understand how money moves through the company and why each number matters, automate manual work away, and build systems that grow with the company instead of the headcount. You set priorities together with the founders and turn finance into a real-time tool the whole company uses to plan ahead.

What we're looking for

• Ambition and a hunger for growth in the role with the company

• A builder mindset: you are comfortable with shipping AI-native workflows by yourself

• An understanding of accounting, taxes and how money flows through a company

• Comfort with ambiguity: You thrive in a fast-paced startup environment where requirements evolve quickly.
