Finance Executive (8-Month Maternity Cover Contract)

Working Hours: Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 6.00pm
Salary Range: $4,000 – $4,200
Bonus: 1-month completion bonus (pro-rated for the 8-month contract)

About the Role

This role supports financial reporting for a portfolio of companies within a group of businesses, and assists with financial analysis, reporting, and consolidation functions at the group level.

Financial Accounting

• Prepare monthly closing journals, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Maintain and review the chart of accounts, including account creation, consistency checks, and archiving
• Support external audit and internal review processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements
• Assist with annual statutory accounts, XBRL filing, and monthly consolidation where applicable
• Support Accounts Payable/Receivable reviews, including sales and purchase ledgers, intercompany billing, debtors ageing, and vendor statement reconciliations
• Prepare vendor payments and process applications for bank-issued payment security instruments
• Assist with GST submissions, GST reconciliations, tax provisions, deferred tax, and corporate tax computations

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, yearly, and ad-hoc financial reports and analysis
• Review reports prepared by the shared services centre
• Prepare and submit statistical reports and surveys
• Support budget and forecast preparation and finalisation
• Coordinate budget and forecast submissions across departments
• Assist with consolidation reporting for actuals, forecasts, and budgets
• Prepare and post monthly consolidation adjustments and working files
• Support tax reporting requirements

System Migration

• Assist with data migration, validation, and verification activities
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support system implementation
• Assist with chart of accounts setup and data structuring where required
• Support finance-related projects and other ad-hoc system migration matters

Treasury

• Assist in monitoring group cashflow
• Prepare treasury reports, including daily and monthly cash reports
• Prepare quarterly cashflow projections
• Support ad-hoc treasury-related projects

Who We're Looking For

• Degree or Diploma in Accountancy, Finance, or a related discipline
• Relevant experience in financial accounting, reporting, consolidation, tax, or treasury
• Experience with system migration, UAT, data validation, or chart of accounts setup is an advantage
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
• Knowledge of GST, corporate tax, accounting standards, and statutory reporting requirements
• Meticulous, analytical, and able to meet tight reporting deadlines
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Able to work independently and collaboratively across departments
