Finance Executive

Job Responsibilities :

The Finance Executive (Finance Operations & Reporting, Monitoring) is responsible for managing accounts receivable, financial records, loan-related data, monitoring activities, and financial reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion. The role involves analytical work, data management, reconciliation, monitoring, and process improvement using tools such as Excel, VBA, Power BI, and basic Python.

1. FINANCE OPERATIONS & REPORTING

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable Management - Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), monitor outstanding balances and repayments, and ensure accurate and timely updating of account records.
• SOA & Loan Confirmations - Prepare and maintain Statements of Account (SOA), loan confirmations, and other account-related financial documentation.
• Financial Data Management - Handle, analyse, and validate financial datasets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Excel & VBA Automation - Utilise advanced Excel functions and VBA to improve reporting, reconciliation, data processing, and process automation.
• Loan Account Management - Monitor loan accounts and maintain accurate repayment schedules based on approved financing terms and changes.
• Restructuring & Rescheduling - Translate approved restructuring and rescheduling terms into financial calculation templates and ensure the revised repayment schedules are accurately reflected.
• Payment Reconciliation - Reconcile payments, including prepayments, backdated entries, payment allocations, and other account adjustments.
• Reporting & Dashboard - Prepare financial and management reports and assist in developing dashboards using Excel and Power BI.
• Data Cleaning & Analysis - Perform basic data cleaning, validation, and analysis using Excel or Python, where applicable.
• Client & Stakeholder Liaison - Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders regarding account status, payment discrepancies, outstanding balances, and other finance-related matters.
• Audit Support - Support internal and external audits by providing financial records, reconciliations, supporting documents, and relevant explanations.
• Documentation & Record Keeping - Maintain proper documentation and ensure financial records, calculations, and supporting documents are accurate, complete, and readily available.

2. MONITORING

Key Responsibilities:

• Annual Review – Coordinate and monitor the annual review of financing accounts, including the review of outstanding balances, repayment status, financial information, and compliance with approved terms.
• Restructuring & Rescheduling Requests – Review and monitor restructuring and rescheduling requests, including the assessment of approved changes, preparation of revised calculation schedules, and implementation of revised repayment terms.
• SOP & Processes – Review, maintain, and enhance finance-related SOPs, processes, and workflows to ensure consistency, efficiency, proper controls, and compliance with applicable requirements.
• Receivers and Managers Management – Monitor accounts under Receivers and Managers, including outstanding balances, payment activities, account status, reporting requirements, and coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• Legal Recovery – Monitor accounts referred for legal recovery, including outstanding balances, recovery status, payments received, legal updates, and relevant documentation.
• Data Integrity – Perform regular checks and reconciliations to ensure the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity of financial and loan-related data across relevant systems and reporting files.
• Reporting – Prepare and maintain regular monitoring reports, management reports, exception reports, and other relevant reports to provide timely visibility of portfolio performance, outstanding balances, arrears, recovery status, and key issues.

Job Requirements :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Finance, Accounting, or Data-related roles; fresh graduates with strong technical skills are encouraged to apply.
• Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable, reconciliation, and financial reporting processes.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; advanced formulas and VBA are preferred.
• Experience handling and analysing large financial datasets.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Power BI and/or Python for data cleaning and analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise work, and meet deadlines.
• Experience handling financial datasets or large Excel files.
• Basic knowledge of VBA, Power BI, or Python.
• Familiarity with loan, financing, or Accounts Receivable processes.
• Exposure to data visualisation and dashboard creation.
• Understanding of financial reconciliation and reporting workflows.
• Exposure to restructuring, rescheduling, recovery, or legal-related account monitoring.
