FINANCE EXECUTIVE

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions, including full set of accounts, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), banking, treasury and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and management accounts accurately and within the required timeline.
• Perform month-end and year-end closing, including accruals, prepayments, provisions and other accounting adjustments.
• Manage daily cash flow, banking transactions and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor customer outstanding balances and ageing reports, follow up on overdue accounts and assist in credit control and collection activities.
• Process supplier invoices and payments and ensure all supporting documents are complete and properly recorded.
• Ensure accurate and timely customer billing for freight forwarding, transportation, warehousing and other logistics services.
• Review shipment, job and logistics service costing and profitability to ensure revenue and related costs are accurately recorded and allocated.
• Monitor unbilled revenue and accrued costs to ensure completed and ongoing logistics services are properly accounted for and billed in a timely manner.
• Verify invoices and charges from shipping lines, airlines, transporters, hauliers, warehouse operators, overseas agents and other logistics service providers.
• Handle and reconcile overseas agent accounts, including debit notes, credit notes and settlements, where applicable.
• Prepare financial analysis, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, profit margins, costs, revenue, budgets and variance analysis.
• Prepare annual budgets and forecasts and monitor the Company's financial performance against budget.
• Prepare/review SST submissions and ensure timely compliance with applicable tax requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, e-Invoice requirements and other statutory requirements.
• Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation in accordance with audit and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure timely submission and payment of statutory obligations, including EPF, SOCSO, EIS and applicable taxes.
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, bankers, company secretary, suppliers, customers, government authorities and other relevant parties.
• Assist with external audits, tax audits and other statutory or regulatory matters.
• Review and improve finance processes, internal controls and workflows where necessary.
• Provide financial and profitability analysis to support management decision-making.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the superior.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least a Diploma in Accountancy/Finance
• At least 2 - 3 years of experience in finance
• Able to work independently, handle multi task, and to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Experience in audit & tax computation
• Candidates with Freight Forwarding Experience will have an added advantage
• Possess high level of communication (written and verbal), analytical skills, problem solving skills and advisory solutions
• Organized, detail-oriented and responsible personality
• Proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Candidates with knowledge of SQL systems will have an added advantage
• Fluent in trilingual English, Chinese and Malay
• Proficiency in Mandarin is required for daily tasks and communication
• Fulfill other duties that may be assigned
