Job Summary

Roots International Schools & Colleges is seeking a Finance Executive to support the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, managing receivables and payables, performing reconciliations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with internal financial policies and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and accounting records.
• Process student fee collections, receipts, refunds, and related financial transactions.
• Prepare and verify invoices, payment requests, vouchers, and expense claims.
• Maintain records of accounts payable and ensure timely processing of payments.
• Perform regular bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports as required.
• Assist in monthly and annual financial closing activities.
• Monitor campus expenses and ensure expenditures are properly authorized and documented.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Coordinate with campuses, vendors, banks, auditors, and internal departments regarding financial matters.
• Ensure compliance with organizational financial policies, accounting standards, and applicable tax requirements.
• Assist in audit preparation and provide supporting documentation when required.
• Identify discrepancies and assist in resolving financial and accounting issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and student-related information.
• Perform other finance-related duties assigned by the Finance Manager or management.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in finance/accounts; experience in an educational institution will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting software.
• Experience with ERP systems will be preferred.
• Knowledge of Pakistani taxation and statutory requirements is an advantage.
