Finance Executive

About the role

Manage financial reports, budgeting, cash flow, accounts payable, tax compliance, financial analysis, internal controls, and resolve short issues.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial performance reviews to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
• Prepare detailed financial analysis reports to assist management in strategic decision-making
• Develop annual budgets in collaboration with department heads, aligning with the company's financial goals
• Monitor budget implementation and highlight variances for corrective action
• Prepare accurate financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements within set deadlines
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal audit requirements
• Review and validate spending requests to ensure they align with the approved budget
• Implement cost control measures to avoid unnecessary expenses and financial leakages
• Prepare and file company tax returns including corporate income tax, SST, and other applicable taxes
• Ensure full compliance with current tax regulations issued by LHDN and relevant authorities

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certifications such as ACCA or CPA are an added advantage
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years of working experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within the F&B or retail sector
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with accounting software such as SQL, AutoCount, or Million
• Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of Malaysian financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting standards
• High level of integrity and confidentiality, with excellent communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
