Finance Executive

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Executive to join XFS SDN. BHD. in Perai, Penang. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in managing our accounts payable function and supporting the broader financial operations of the organisation. As a Finance Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing and management of supplier invoices, payments, and related financial transactions. This role is integral to maintaining strong supplier relationships and ensuring the financial health and compliance of the company.

What you'll be doing

• Processing and verifying supplier invoices and purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner

• Recording accounts payable transactions in the financial system and maintaining detailed records

• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies or payment issues

• Managing the accounts payable ledger and ensuring all entries are accurate and up to date

• Communicating with PMC team regarding invoices, payment terms and outstanding balances

• Supporting the month-end and year-end closing procedures

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• At least 2-3 years of experience in an accounts payable or similar accounting role
• Proficiency in accounting software SQL and Microsoft Excel
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices relevant to accounts payable
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
• Reliability and integrity in handling confidential financial information
