FINANCE EXECUTIVE

About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Executive to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for daily accounting data entry, accurate accounting records, and supporting the Finance Manager in month-end closing and financial reporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting data entry and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and on a timely basis.
• Prepare and post journal entries into the accounting system.
• Maintain proper accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Review accounting entries for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist in identifying and resolving discrepancies in accounting records.
• Assist the Finance Manager with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare accounting schedules, reconciliations, and supporting working papers.
• Assist with general ledger reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support the preparation of accruals, prepayments, and other month-end adjustments.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting schedules as required.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting / ACCA or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiar with accounting software such as NetSuite will be an advantage.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to maintain accurate financial records.
• Responsible, proactive, and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
