Finance Executive (ERP Data Migration) _ Temporary

About the role

The Group is implementing a new ERP system across its entities. We are looking for a Temporary Finance Executive to support the finance data migration for approximately 33 entities. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance team, the IT team and the external implementation partner to ensure that data is accurately prepared, verified and uploaded into the new system within the project timeline.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, populate and review data migration templates (e.g. chart of accounts, customer and vendor master data, opening balances, fixed assets) for all group entities
• Extract, cleanse and reconcile data from the existing system to ensure completeness and accuracy before migration
• Log, track and follow up on IT tickets with the implementation team, ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner
• Coordinate with finance end users to obtain confirmations and sign-offs on migrated data
• Perform data uploads into the new ERP system and carry out post-upload checks and reconciliations
• Maintain a migration tracker showing status by entity, outstanding items and issues
• Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) and document any discrepancies found
• Prepare progress updates for the Finance Manager and project team
• Perform any other ad hoc duties related to the ERP implementation as assigned

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
• Prior experience in ERP implementation or data migration projects is an advantage
• Good understanding of accounting principles, general ledger and reconciliations
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data cleansing)
• Meticulous, organised and able to handle large volumes of data accurately
• Good communication skills and comfortable following up with users across different teams
• Able to work independently and meet tight project deadlines
• Available to start immediately or at short notice
