Finance Graduate

Are you a recent graduate looking to build a career in finance and gain practical experience beyond traditional accounting?

We are looking for a motivated and analytical Finance Graduate to join our UK Finance team. This is a varied, hands-on role that will give you exposure to management accounting, operational finance, forecasting, budgeting, stock control, reporting and business partnering.

You will work closely with colleagues across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Commercial and HR, helping you understand how financial decisions influence the wider business. You will also have the opportunity to work towards a CIMA qualification, supported by the business as part of your continued professional development.

What you’ll be doing

As you develop in the role, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the month-end close process, including journals, accruals, prepayments and forecasting
• Assisting with the preparation of management information and financial reports
• Preparing and analysing key performance indicators
• Working with different business areas to identify efficiencies and opportunities for improvement
• Supporting the annual budgeting process, including the site operational budget
• Helping to maintain accurate master data and support working capital management
• Working with Shared Services to resolve Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable queries
• Supporting the timely completion of goods receipts and financial approvals
• Assisting with stock control, warehouse goods, spare parts and fixed asset verification
• Supporting annual audit requirements
• Providing ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to the wider business
• Developing an understanding of costs, sales, stock and profitability across the organisation

What we’re looking for

You will ideally have:

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or another business-related subject
• A strong academic background
• A genuine interest in finance, analysis and understanding the story behind the numbers
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Excel skills and general computer literacy
• A proactive approach and willingness to learn
• The confidence to work with colleagues across different departments
• The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in written and spoken English

Previous finance experience is not essential. We are more interested in your potential, curiosity and desire to develop.
