Finance Head (FP&A + Controller)

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and budget-vs-actual analysis, including loan-book performance and provisioning.
• Build and run the management reporting and planning process, and improve it where gaps exist.
• Own controllership: month-end close, general ledger, financial statements, tax and statutory reporting, and audit coordination.
• Prepare regular financial reports and analysis for the Japanese parent company and meet its reporting deadlines.
• Advise the CEO and management on financial performance, risks and business decisions.
• Strengthen financial controls, policies and systems, and develop the finance team.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years in finance, with experience in both FP&A and controllership.
• Experience working for a lending, financing, banking, or insurance company in the Philippines.
• Hands-on ownership of the P&L, provisioning, or budget-vs-actual of a loan book.
• Proven track record of building a management reporting or planning process where none existed.
• Experience reporting to a foreign parent company.
• Strong Excel skills.

Nice to have

• CPA license
• Experience with Xero or a comparable cloud accounting system
• Experience in an organization of under 100 people
• Experience with a Japanese parent company
