Finance Intern

• Internship length: Six months, 40 hours per week
• At Workwize, we’re looking for a Finance Intern who is excited to dive into the world of finance and support our team through the day-to-day work that keeps the business running
• Reporting directly to our Business Controller, you’ll develop your skills by working closely with the Finance team, gaining hands-on experience in the month-end close, financial analysis, and reporting
• Support the Finance team during the month-end close, assisting with invoicing, reconciliations, and other recurring close tasks
• Help prepare and perform variance analysis, such as budget-versus-actual and margin reviews, under the guidance of the Business Controller
• Assist in answering finance-related queries from clients and internal teams (e.g. Customer Success), helping to resolve and route them efficiently
• Help prepare management reports, ad-hoc analyses, and supporting data as needed
• Collaborate with various teams across the organization to ensure financial tasks are completed accurately and on time

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field (or have a strong interest in these areas)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to learn and grow
• Comfort with Excel and working with data is helpful
• Ability to work well in a team and independently when needed
