Finance Intern

Job Title: Finance Intern (Nysc or 1year IT)

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to support the Finance team with day-to-day accounting activities, financial reconciliations, reporting, documentation, and transaction monitoring across our retail outlets.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily reconciliation of branch sales, POS transactions, cash, bank transfers, and other payment collections.
• Assist with inventory reconciliation and investigation of stock/value variances.
• Assist with processing and reviewing invoices, payment requests, receipts, and other financial documents.
• Support the finance team with monthly closing activities and preparation of financial reports.
• Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Assist with data entry into the company's accounting/ERP system.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate unresolved issues to the Finance Manager
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum OND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
