Finance Intern

About the Role:

The Finance Intern will support process improvement and governance initiatives within the Finance function, focusing on strengthening Month-End Closing (MEC) readiness, enhancing finance operations tracking, and improving documentation standards. The internship provides hands-on exposure to financial accounting processes, accrual management, operational governance, and process standardisation projects.

The intern will work closely with the Finance team to review existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, develop structured trackers and documentation, and support ongoing month-end and year-end readiness activities.

The Impact You’ll Make:

1. Finance Process Improvement & MEC Readiness

• Support initiatives to enhance month-end close (MEC) readiness and reporting quality.
• Analyse financial data and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Contribute to projects aimed at strengthening financial controls and governance.
• Assist in developing insights and recommendations to improve finance processes.

2. Finance Governance & Analytics

• Support finance governance and balance sheet review activities.
• Assist in monitoring key financial trends and outstanding items.
• Contribute to the documentation and standardisation of finance processes.
• Prepare analysis and reports to support finance decision-making.

Additional Scope for 6-Month Internship

• Participate in finance transformation and process optimisation projects.
• Support initiatives to improve procurement and cost management processes.
• Develop reporting tools, dashboards, and process documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Finance function.

The Skills and Knowledge You’ll Bring:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Finance
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders
• Comfortable supporting hands-on execution
• A good balance of creative thinking and analytical skills
• Self-starter with a willingness to learn, take ownership, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Able to commit full time 3-6 months
