We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Finance Lead to join our Services business, you will act as a trusted finance partner to operational leaders, providing financial leadership, insightful analysis and strategic decision support to improve business performance and profitability. The role is full-time and based in our Brisbane office.

About the Role

As Finance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate financial reporting, forecasting and business insights while leading a small finance and administration team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with Operations and Contract Managers to support business performance and decision-making.
• Leading month-end reporting, forecasting, budgeting and financial planning processes.
• Providing detailed financial analysis, commentary and performance insights to management.
• Monitoring contract profitability, cost control, revenue performance and working capital.
• Managing project financial reporting, including forecasts, cash flow and margin analysis.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and financial policies.
• Leading and developing finance and administration team members.
• Driving process improvements, reporting efficiencies and commercial outcomes.
• Supporting financial evaluations, business modelling and risk assessments across projects and contracts.

About You

You are a proactive and commercially focused finance professional who can translate financial data into meaningful business insights and influence stakeholders at all levels.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Degree qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
• CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Extensive experience in senior finance, commercial or business partnering roles.
• Strong financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and reporting capability.
• Experience supporting operational, project-based or contract-driven businesses.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including team development and coaching.
• A strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify risks and opportunities.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems will be highly regarded.
