Finance Manager (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

About the opportunity

We are recruiting for a hands-on Finance Manager to join a leading global demand-generation business on a 12-month maternity-cover contract . Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be the sole finance professional supporting operations across the UK, US, UAE, India and a dormant Singapore entity.

This is an operationally focused role with meaningful visibility and influence. You will ensure the finance function runs smoothly and accurately while strengthening reporting, forecasting and the commercial insight available to leadership.

What you’ll be doing:

• Owning the monthly close process and producing timely, accurate management accounts
• Preparing P&L, balance sheet and multi-currency cash-flow reporting, including variance analysis and commentary
• Maintaining robust financial controls, reconciliations and balance-sheet discipline
• Overseeing payroll across multiple international entities, working with local payroll providers and external accountants
• Managing invoicing, day-to-day financial controls and the integrity of financial data
• Supporting annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and reforecasting
• Developing practical reporting packs, KPIs and financial models for leadership
• Providing clear, commercially relevant insight and decision support to the Managing Director and wider business
• Supporting tax, statutory and compliance matters alongside local advisers

What we’re looking for:

• CIMA or ACCA Qualification
• Proven hands-on experience as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or in a senior management-accounting role
• Strong management accounting and financial-control capability
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and analytical reporting
• Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to build, review and improve financial models and reports
• A sound understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash-flow dynamics
• Confidence working independently, managing competing priorities and making sense of evolving data
• The ability to communicate finance clearly and practically to non-finance stakeholders
• Project-based accounting exposure would be advantageous

Location and working hours

Cape Town or Johannesburg; aligned to UK business hours.
