Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Finalisation

• Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of books of accounts.
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of financial statements.
• Preparation and finalisation of standalone financial statements in accordance with applicable Accounting Standards/Ind AS.
• General Ledger scrutiny and reconciliation.
• Review of journal vouchers and accounting entries.
• Fixed Asset Accounting and depreciation.
• Bank, vendor, customer, and inter-company reconciliations.
• Balance Sheet schedule preparation.

2. Financial Reporting & MIS

• Preparation of monthly MIS reports for management.
• Analysis of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
• Budget vs Actual variance analysis.
• Department-wise profitability and cost analysis.
• Working Capital monitoring.
• Cash flow forecasting.
• Preparation of Board presentations and financial dashboards.
• Business performance analysis and recommendations.

3. Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Annual Budget preparation.
• Periodic budget review and revisions.
• Forecasting revenue, expenses, and cash flow.
• CAPEX budgeting and monitoring.
• Financial modelling and sensitivity analysis.
• Support management in strategic financial planning.

4. Direct Taxation

• Computation of Income Tax.
• Advance Tax estimation and payment.
• TDS compliance and reconciliations.
• Preparation of tax audit schedules.
• Handling Income Tax assessments, notices, and appeals.
• Coordination with tax consultants.
• Deferred Tax computation.
• MAT/Book Profit calculations where applicable.

5. GST & Indirect Taxation

• GST compliance and return filing.
• Reconciliation of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B.
• Input Tax Credit reconciliation.
• GST audits and departmental assessments.
• Preparation of GST workings.
• Handling notices and litigation support.
• E-way bill and E-invoicing compliance.

6. Internal Audit

• Coordinate Internal Audit assignments.
• Ensure implementation of audit observations.
• Strengthen internal financial controls.
• SOP review and process improvement.
• Risk identification and mitigation.
• Compliance monitoring.

7. Statutory Audit

• Coordination with Statutory Auditors.
• Preparation of audit schedules.
• Timely submission of audit information.
• Closure of audit observations.
• CARO and Companies Act compliance support.
• Financial statement disclosures.

8. Regulatory & Statutory Compliance

• Companies Act compliance support.
• RBI/Bank reporting (where applicable).
• Compliance with Accounting Standards.
• ROC-related financial documentation.
• Liaison with statutory authorities.

9. Treasury & Banking

• Working Capital management.
• Fund flow planning.
• Bank reconciliation.
• Coordination with banks.
• Loan documentation support.
• Monitoring loan covenants.
• LC, BG, and banking documentation.
• Cash management.

10. Cost Control & Financial Analysis

• Product costing and margin analysis.
• Cost reduction initiatives.
• Inventory valuation.
• Variance analysis.
• Budgetary control.
• Profitability analysis by product/customer.

11. Team Management

• Supervise Accounts team.
• Allocate work and review deliverables.
• Train and mentor team members.
• Performance evaluation.
• Establish financial discipline across departments.

12. ERP & Systems

• Working knowledge of ERP systems
• Ensure data accuracy within ERP.
• Improve accounting processes through automation.
• Develop and monitor financial controls.

Experience

• 35 years of relevant experience in Finance & Accounts.
• Experience in manufacturing/FMCG/process industry preferred.
• Exposure to statutory audit, taxation, budgeting, and MIS reporting.
