Finance Manager

To lead and oversee the day-to-day global finance operations, corporate accounting, and treasury functions for 123RF and Sphere. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, the Finance Manager ensures accurate cross-border financial execution, strict statutory compliance across multiple markets, and effective cash flow management. This role bridges strategic group directives with hands-on operational discipline while managing the executive finance team.

Job Scope

• Global Transaction Management & Month-End Closing: Direct day-to-day transactional workflows across multi-currency business lines, driving a strict group closing timeline.
• International Treasury & Cross-Border Payments: Optimize working capital, manage international cash positions, and monitor global digital payment gateway settlement efficiencies.
• Group Payroll & Global Contributor Operations: Oversee timely and accurate payments to corporate staff and global content contributors with zero compliance or penalty risks.
• Multi-Entity Budgeting & Ad-Hoc Analytics: Support the VP of Finance in consolidating Group budgets and translating digital/SaaS metrics into operational targets.
• Team Leadership & Operational Agility: Mentor and manage the Senior Executive and Executive teams to cultivate a high-performance culture suited for a fast-paced tech group.

Key Responsibilities

Multi-Market Closing & Reporting

• Supervise the finance team to ensure all day-to-day transactions for 123RF and Sphere entities are executed accurately.
• Own and accelerate the month-end closing process, ensuring final management accounts are fully completed, audited-ready, and submitted to the VP of Finance by the 12th of every month.
• Review all transactional entries, intercompany adjustments, and balance sheet reconciliations before senior leadership review.

Cross-Border Treasury & Merchant Platforms

• Monitor daily cash runway and liquidity across various global bank accounts, advising on optimal payment schedules and minimizing FX exposure.
• Manage and monitor complex payment gateway ecosystems (e.g., PayPal, Adyen, Skrill), focusing on deposit efficiency, transaction cost optimization, and card scheme relationship management.
• Maintain absolute precision in banking portals and vendor payment uploads, limiting corrections or errors from the VP of Finance to fewer than 3 per month.

Payroll, Global Contributors & Compliance

• Oversee accurate multi-currency payroll administration, ensuring any employee structural updates or changes are verified within 7 days.
• Supervise the timely disbursement of payments to global content contributors, corporate credit cards, and institutional loans, ensuring zero penalty interest or late-payment compliance impacts.
• Ensure all accounting and transaction structures strictly conform with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), IFRS, and international tax protocols.

Budget Execution & Process Automation

• Lead the operational preparation of the annual Group budget for 123RF and Sphere, ensuring final submission before 31 December.
• Deliver rapid, data-driven ad-hoc financial reports and variance analyses requested by the VP of Finance to track product-level performance.
• Champion digital transformation within the finance team to eliminate manual entries and shorten reporting cycles through automated workflows.

Team Leadership

• Provide day-to-day technical guidance, coaching, and performance management to Senior Executives and Executive team members.
• Drive operational excellence and team alignment, maintaining staff satisfaction scores above 45% and team attrition below 25%.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional Qualification: Professional accounting certification (ACCA, CPA, MIA, or equivalent) is preferred.
• Experience: 5+ years of progressive financial experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity. Proven background in global e-commerce, digital media, SaaS, or tech-driven multi-market organizations is highly advantageous.
• Technical Competencies: Exceptional grasp of financial workflows, cross-border treasury, and international tax. Advanced proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets and modern cloud ERP infrastructure. Direct exposure to digital merchant/payment processing engines (Adyen, PayPal) is a strong plus.
