Finance Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and adherence to financial standards.

Design, implement, and continuously improve financial processes, internal controls, and reporting systems.

ERP Implementation and Chart of Accounts preparation and Module integration.

Collaborate with the project teams, consultants, and other units, etc. for the budget preparation and collect necessary information which is required for the financial planning.

Implement banking strategy and proactively plan for the treasury and working capital for the short-term and long-term financial planning.

Negotiate with banks for the charges and the options to execute the transfers without delays.

Prepare and deliver financial reports, analyses, and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.

Perform budget vs. actual analyses, highlighting variances and proposing corrective actions or cost-saving strategies.

Oversee payroll processing, including calculations, deductions, approvals, and record maintenance.

Execute internal and external payments in accordance with approvals and organizational procedures.

Monitor project expenditures, track commitments, and ensure alignment with approved budgets and funding sources.

Ensure compliance with tax obligations, social security reporting, and other statutory requirements.

Support employees in banking matters, including account setup and necessary identification processes.

Manage relationships with banks, vendors, and key stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely financial operations.

Identify opportunities to optimize workflows, reduce financial risk, and enhance reporting accuracy.

Report any issues or discrepancies promptly to the line manager or HR and take corrective measures.

Adhere to organizational values, policies, and procedures in all financial activities.

Identify the risk involved in the transactions and provide suggestions to senior management for mitigating the risk.

Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

A master's degree or finance-related certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA, CMA) is highly desirable.

Previous experience [7-9 years] in finance and accounting, financial management, accounting, or auditing.

Minimum [2 3 years] in a supervisory or managerial role.

Proven experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and audit coordination.

Strong organization, planning, and execution skills.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent analytical, budgeting, and financial forecasting abilities.

In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, and audit practices.

Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.

Strong English is required; Kurdish is desired.

Prepared to work additional hours when required.

Report any issues to the line manager or HR.

Adhere to SP office values, policies, and procedures.

Traveling to other locations within or outside the country for work and staying overnight.

Maintain confidentiality of information.

Government experience

Experience using accounting or ERP systems.

Background in developing or improving financial management systems.
