Finance Manager

The Company  

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Finance Manager to join a well-established retail organisation on an initial 3-month contract.

This role would suit a hands-on finance professional with strong retail finance experience who can step into an established finance function, take ownership of key responsibilities and provide immediate support to the wider business.

The Role

This 3-month contract with the possibility of extending will be suitable for animmediately available or soon to be immediately available Finance Manager who will report directly to the senior leadership team.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Overseeing the day-to-day finance function and supporting the wider finance team
• Managing month-end and year-end reporting processes
• Preparing and reviewing management accounts, financial reports and analysis
• Managing budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
• Supporting operational and commercial reporting across the business
• Analysing revenue, margins, costs and overall business performance
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the Finance team
• Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls are maintained
• Managing statutory requirements including BAS, GST and other compliance obligations
• Providing financial insights and partnering with key stakeholders across the business
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, systems and reporting

About You
If you are an experienced Finance Manager looking to take your career to the next level, then this role is for you. 

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience working as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Senior Accountant
• Previous experience within retail, FMCG, or another fast-paced commercial environment is highly desirable
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience
• Excellent understanding of month-end processes, reconciliations and financial controls
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to work autonomously and hit the ground running
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach
