Key responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process across all business functions.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide timely analysis of key business drivers, trends, and variances.
  • Develop financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives, new business opportunities, and expansion plans.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability, productivity, operational efficiency, and cost management.
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial statements, and performance reports.
  • Analyze revenue, gross margins, operating expenses, labour costs, and key financial metrics to support business decisions.
  • Prepare group consolidation reports and provide meaningful financial analysis to management.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting across all entities.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and working capital requirements.
  • Monitor daily cash positions and ensure adequate funding for operational needs.
  • Prepare payment schedules and cash flow projections.
  • Oversee banking relationships, treasury activities, and payment processes.
  • Support capital expenditure planning and investment evaluations.
  • Take ownership of the full spectrum of accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and month-end closing activities.
  • Review and process reimbursement claims, supplier payments, and other finance transactions.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accurate reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare intercompany invoices and monthly intercompany reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of accounting records and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore and Malaysia accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Manage GST filings, statutory submissions, audit requirements, and regulatory reporting.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and Commercial teams to drive business performance.
  • Provide financial guidance on pricing strategies, promotions, labour productivity, store performance, and expansion opportunities.
  • Support commercial negotiations, contract reviews, and investment decisions from a financial perspective.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making across the organization through insightful financial analysis.
  • Lead the finance function and build scalable processes to support business growth.
  • Review and improve finance systems, reporting capabilities, and operational workflows.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and efficiency enhancements across the finance function.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, financial discipline, and continuous improvement.
