About the role
 
As Finance Manager, you'll take full ownership of RICADO's finance function. You'll manage the day-to-day financial operations of the business, including invoicing, payroll, reconciliations, general ledger management and month-end reporting. 
 
You'll ensure the finance function is accurate, efficient and compliant, including New Zealand tax and payroll obligations. You'll lead budgeting, forecasting, cashflow planning and financial reporting, while strengthening systems and controls and coordinating with external advisers. You'll also provide clear, well-reasoned recommendations to the Board and respond confidently to questions.
 
Based in our Te Puke office, you'll work closely with leadership to support the company's financial strategy and operations. Being in the office is important to our culture and to working closely with leadership, so we're looking for someone happy to be in the office at least three days a week. This is a full time role, however we are open to part time (32 hours/week) for the right candidate.

• You're an experienced finance professional: You bring proven experience in financial management or a similar role. A relevant tertiary qualification is preferred, and you thrive in a complex business environment.
• You're a great communicator: You bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong relationships across the business and guiding stakeholders with clear, confident insight.
• You have a sharp eye for detail: You take pride in producing accurate, reliable work and following tasks through to completion.
• You're a problem solver with a love for technology: You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as confidence with financial software such as Xero, payroll, job-costing and inventory systems. You also have genuine enthusiasm for improving finance processes through technology.
• You're a strategic leader: You inspire and motivate those around you, with a strategic mindset that sees the big picture and plans for the future. You're excited by the opportunity to help shape the next chapter at RICADO. Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to future pricing discussions would be an advantage, but is not essential.
