What they need
Our client is a well-established, growing Singapore-based business group operating across a number of business lines, working with both public and private sector clients. The group has a track record of steady growth across several operating entities.
The organization is looking to bring on a Finance Manager to take charge of finance operations and reporting for a portion of its business, with the added opportunity to be part of an ongoing finance systems modernization initiative.
The Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will be the go-to person for financial reporting, consolidation, and day-to-day finance operations across a number of entities within the group, while also playing a part in the finance side of an ongoing systems upgrade. It's a role that offers genuine exposure to a layered, multi-entity business, with real scope to help shape how finance operates as the company continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Handle month-end and year-end closing for the entities under your care
Put together timely, accurate management reports and financial statements
Take the lead on consolidating results across multiple entities within the group
Keep the business on the right side of accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
Work closely with business stakeholders, providing the financial insight they need to make good decisions
Own the Accounts Receivable process and look for ways to tighten up collections and controls
Review balance sheet reconciliations and keep the books clean
Keep an eye on cash flow and working capital
Support the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis cycle
Play a part in the finance side of a group-wide finance systems upgrade
Help with data checks, process alignment, and testing as the new system comes online
Contribute ideas on how finance processes can be tightened up along the way
Support the team through the change as the new system beds in
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification
- At least 6 years of progressive finance experience, ideally with some time at Finance Manager or Senior Finance Executive level
- Solid hands-on background in financial reporting, month-end close, and multi-entity consolidation
- Experience navigating more complex, multi-entity business structures is a plus
- Prior exposure to a system migration or major systems change is helpful, but not essential
- Strong Excel skills; familiarity with Power BI is a bonus
- A real sense of ownership, adaptability, and the ability to manage stakeholders well
- Comfortable rolling up your sleeves and juggling day-to-day work alongside a transformation project
