Duties

• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Oversee budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and financial projection model development to support decision-making.
• Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• Conduct detailed account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, cash flow analysis, and cost control initiatives to optimize financial performance.
• Lead risk management efforts by analyzing potential risks related to industry regulations, governmental accounting standards, and internal controls.
• Supervise the finance team in areas such as general ledger accounting, accounts payable/receivable, treasury management, and compliance management.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory reporting requirements such as ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and other relevant standards.
• Utilize data analytics tools and Excel data analysis techniques to interpret complex financial data for strategic insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on business development initiatives and investment management projects.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, financial markets knowledge, and changes in financial regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

Experience

• Proven experience in financial management or finance directorship roles within diverse industries, including non-profit or governmental sectors preferred.
• Extensive background in corporate accounting, cost accounting, public accounting, and technical accounting practices.
• Demonstrated expertise in IFRS, IAS (International Accounting Standards), GAAP compliance, and regulatory reporting standards.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing finance teams and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced Excel data analysis capabilities.
• Ability to develop complex financial models and interpret financial reports accurately for strategic planning purposes.
• Experience with risk analysis, risk management strategies, and implementing internal controls to mitigate potential issues.
• Knowledge of industry-specific financial concepts such as ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and cost management techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for preparing clear financial report writing and interpretation for stakeholders at all levels.

Pay: $45.66 - $48.52 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 per week
