FINANCE MANAGER

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join KENJO BABY HOUSE SDN. BHD. in Alor Setar, Kedah. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing our financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organisation, implementing sound financial practices, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decision-making. This role is integral to maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations whilst driving the company's financial performance and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transaction recording
• Conduct financial analysis and variance reporting to identify trends, anomalies and areas for cost optimisation
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank accounts and other financial records on a monthly basis
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with tax authorities on statutory filings and assessments
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard company assets
• Prepare financial reports and budgets for management review and strategic planning purposes
• Supervise junior accounting staff and provide guidance on accounting policies and procedures
• Liaise with external auditors during audit engagements and ensure all required documentation is prepared
• Monitor cash flow and assist in managing working capital efficiently

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CA, or equivalent recognised certification
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting roles
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create complex financial models
• In-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) or international financial reporting standards (IFRS)
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
• Experience in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting
• Knowledge of relevant Malaysian tax regulations and financial reporting requirements is advantageous
• Leadership capability with experience supervising and mentoring accounting team members
