- Provide financial insight and scenario analysis to support business decisions.
Financial Reporting & Communication
- Prepare and present clear, professionally structured management reports and board packs.
- Maintain accurate records of assumptions, judgements, provisions and significant transactions.
- Attend management, board, audit and bank meetings as required, communicating financial matters in plain, professional language.
- Escalate financial, compliance or cash flow risks promptly, supported by figures, reconciliations or other evidence.
- Ensure agreed actions from meetings and reviews are tracked to closure.
Regulatory, Compliance & Standards Knowledge
- IFRS / IFRS for SMEs and the Companies Act.
- SARS tax legislation (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax, Provisional Tax).
- POPIA and basic King IV governance principles.
- Internal controls, segregation of duties and audit readiness.
Software / Technical Tools
- Sage, Xero, Pastel or similar accounting systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- CaseWare or similar working paper/audit tools advantageous.
- SARS eFiling.
Minimum Requirements
- B.Com degree in Accounting/Finance; B.Com Honours, CA(SA) or CIMA advantageous.
- 6–10+ years of relevant experience, including supervisory or team-lead experience.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax compliance and management accounting.
