Finance Manager

The Finance Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing the organization's finance, treasury, and investment functions. The role ensures effective financial management, strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and prudent stewardship of organizational resources. The Finance Manager provides strategic financial leadership by managing accounting operations, treasury activities, investment monitoring, budgeting, financial reporting, audit coordination, and tax compliance while supporting informed business decision-making.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1.        Oversee the organization's day-to-day financial operations, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of accounting records, financial transactions, and reporting systems.

2.        Monitor the organization's overall financial position, including cash flow, bank balances, and financial performance. Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports and analyses to senior management.

3.        Supervise the disbursement process to ensure that all payments are properly authorized, adequately supported by documentation, and processed in accordance with established policies and internal control procedures.

4.        Manage treasury operations by overseeing cash management, liquidity requirements, banking relationships, fund transfers, and disbursement activities while ensuring compliance with authorization and control protocols.

5.        Oversee the monitoring, recording, and administration of the organization's investment portfolio. Coordinate with treasury operations to support liquidity planning, optimize cash utilization, and execute short- and long-term investment strategies in accordance with approved policies.

6.        Maintain an accurate and up-to-date investment register and prepare periodic reports on investment performance, portfolio composition, and fund utilization for management review.

7.        Lead the annual budgeting process, long-term financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis. Collaborate with department heads to develop realistic budgets and monitor actual performance against approved financial plans.

8.        Ensure compliance with all applicable tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements by overseeing the timely preparation and submission of BIR returns and other mandatory reports, while ensuring adherence to BSP, SEC, and other relevant regulatory requirements.

9.        Partner with senior management and cross-functional teams to facilitate internal and external audits, strengthen financial and operational processes, identify organizational risks, and recommend and implement appropriate internal controls and risk mitigation measures.

10.  Lead, coach, and develop the finance team by fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, transparency, continuous improvement, and high standards of financial governance

Qualifications and Requirements

1.        Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or other relevant professional certification is preferred.

2.        At least three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in finance, accounting, or treasury operations. Previous supervisory or managerial experience is highly desirable.

3.        Strong knowledge of accounting principles, Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), financial planning and analysis, treasury management, investment monitoring, foreign exchange accounting, audit processes, taxation, and regulatory compliance.

4.        Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

5.        Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

6.        Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment while working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
