FINANCE MANAGER

Responsibilities

• Assisting Financial Controller to lead and direct the department efficiently in accounting and ensure timely process and proper control procedure in accounting especially month-end financial closing and to lead in the absence of Financial Controller.
• Manage, provide direction and supervision to the finance staff.
• Establish and manage all the necessary financial accounting process, controls and procedures.
• Responsible for the whole general financial accounting and its monitoring systems for the company.
• Responsible for all statutory financial statements and the Group financial reporting are completed in accurate and timely manner, and meet the deadline given.
• Ensure financial transactions are posted to the general ledger from all sources in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with existing practising accounting standards, policies and procedures as well as comply with Malaysian & International Accounting Standards. (FRS) and the group standards.
• Work with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting, reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Develop procedures within the department for the purpose of minimizing financial risks and regular review to verify the effectiveness of controls in accounting process.
• Manage the cash/fund pool and maintain up-to-date cashflow forecast information.
• Ensure compliance to Treasury policies and procedures.
• Liaise with tax agent on the computation of tax (Income Tax; GST; Withholding tax etc) and the filing of tax returns to the tax authority on timely manner.
• Provide financial information necessary for the renewal of yearly insurance coverage and support insurance claim process.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Financing and related field
• Chartered Accountant / Certified Practising Accountant (CA/CPA)
• At least 5 years of experience in Accounting and 2 years experience in same position
• Willing to work in Tanjung Langsat , Pasir Gudang Johor
• Familiar with accounting system and standard
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to liaise with people at all levels of the organisation
