Finance Manager

The company is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance team. You will be responsible for managing daily operations, overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and mentoring a team of 4 staff (with plans to expand). This role requires a hands-on leader who can improve processes and manage client financial requirements efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Management

• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of finance staff (currently 4 pax).
• Monitor team performance, assign tasks, and conduct annual appraisals.
• Conduct monthly training sessions to upskill the team.
• Review and improve existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for better efficiency.

2. Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Ensure timely month-end closing and accurate financial reporting.
• Review management reports and financial statements prepared by the team.
• Prepare group consolidation financial reports.
• Review quarterly GST returns.
• Prepare annual corporate tax filings and submit them to IRAS.
• Handle inquiries from IRAS regarding client books.

3. Operations & Process Improvement

• Oversee daily financial operations to ensure smooth execution.
• Establish and maintain robust internal processes to ensure data accuracy.
• Ensure all client reporting deadlines are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA, ACCA, or similar certification is a plus.

• Minimum 8 years of experience in finance

• At least 3 years of experience in an accounting firm.

• Experience working with XERO and other accounting software is preferable.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.

• Proven track record of delivering objectives in a fast-paced environment under strict deadlines and consistently high standards.
