Finance Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a Finance Manager to oversee the company's day-to-day financial operations, accounting activities, reporting, compliance, and financial controls.

The ideal candidate should have strong accounting fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage financial processes while working closely with management and other departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
• Prepare and review monthly financial reports, management reports, and financial statements.
• Manage monthly closing activities and ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
• Monitor company cash flow, receivables, payables, and working capital requirements.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
• Track company expenses and identify areas for better cost control and financial efficiency.
• Manage bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, customer balances, and other accounting reconciliations.
• Ensure timely preparation and processing of invoices, payments, salaries, and other financial obligations.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other financial institutions when required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax, accounting, and statutory requirements.
• Assist in preparation and submission of relevant tax documentation and coordinate with tax consultants where applicable.
• Maintain proper records for audits and ensure timely resolution of audit queries.
• Establish and maintain appropriate financial controls and approval processes.
• Review financial transactions to identify discrepancies, errors, or potential financial risks.
• Provide management with financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
• Monitor financial KPIs and provide regular updates to management.
• Work closely with HR on payroll-related financial matters, employee deductions, reimbursements, and other finance-related requirements.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure proper budgeting, expense tracking, and financial documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting systems, and overall financial efficiency.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and business information.

Requirements

• ACCA Qualified or ACCA Affiliate.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Hands-on experience with bookkeeping, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of taxation and statutory compliance.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and financial/accounting software.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve financial issues independently.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of finance-related responsibilities.
