The Finance Manager is responsible for the end-to-end financial management encompassing accounting operations, financial reporting, treasury, budgeting, tax and regulatory compliance, and internal audit/controls.
This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company's financial information, safeguards company assets, and provides the financial insight senior leadership needs to make sound business decisions across manufacturing, sales, and distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Oversee the full accounting cycle — general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, inventory, and payroll-related accounting — ensuring accuracy and compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses for the CFO and President.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes across all company sites and product lines.
- Coordinate the annual external audit and liaise with the company's independent auditors, ensuring clean and timely audit opinions.
Budgeting, Planning & Cost Control
- Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting in coordination with manufacturing, sales, and other departments.
- Monitor actual performance against budget, flagging variances and recommending corrective action.
- Analyze product and plant-level costing (raw materials, packaging, labor, overhead) to support pricing and margin decisions.
Treasury & Cash Management
- Manage day-to-day cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital to ensure the company meets its operational and financial obligations.
- Oversee collections, credit terms, and receivables management in coordination with the sales and distribution teams.
- Evaluate financing needs and support decisions on loans, credit lines, or capital expenditure funding.
Tax, Compliance & Regulatory Matters
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all national and local tax obligations (BIR, LGU permits, and related statutory requirements).
- Maintain compliance with SEC, BIR, and other regulatory reporting requirements applicable to the company.
- Keep the organization current on changes in tax law, accounting standards, and other financial regulations relevant to manufacturing and FMCG.
Internal Audit & Controls
- Design, implement, and monitor internal controls over financial reporting, inventory, cash handling, and procurement to safeguard company assets.
- Conduct or coordinate periodic internal audits across departments and sites, and follow up on the resolution of audit findings.
- Investigate discrepancies, irregularities, or control gaps, and recommend process improvements.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting, treasury, and audit team, fostering a culture of accuracy, discipline, and accountability.
- Partner with manufacturing, sales, and HR teams to align financial processes with operational realities.
- Support the CFO and President with ad hoc financial analysis for strategic decisions, including new product lines, capex, or expansion plans.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including at least 3 years in a managerial capacity, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG, or a similarly fast-paced industry.
- Solid working knowledge of Philippine tax regulations, BIR compliance, and PFRS.
- Proven experience managing audits (internal and/or external) and implementing internal controls.
- Hands-on experience with cost accounting/manufacturing costing is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency with accounting systems/ERPs and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Note:
- Willing to regularly visit and coordinate at the Mandaue City, Cebu office.
Pay: Php90,000.00 - Php100,000.00 per month
