Finance Manager

We are seeking a Finance Manager to join a growing finance function within an infrastructure business. This is a broad, hands-on role with accounting, financial control and management reporting at its core, alongside opportunities to support project finance, FP&A, systems and finance transformation.

The Finance Manager will work closely with the Finance Director, wider Group Finance, external advisers and operational stakeholders. As the business continues to grow, the Finance Manager will play an important role in strengthening financial controls, processes and reporting across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the quality, accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, working closely with Group Finance and external accounting partners.
• Lead the review and control of month-end results, including reconciliations, accruals, provisions, fixed assets and project accounting.
• Provide technical accounting guidance, including IFRS, CAPEX, construction and asset accounting.
• Develop and strengthen financial controls, processes and governance as the business scales.
• Prepare management reporting and financial analysis, providing clear visibility of performance, risks and variances.
• Partner with operational and project teams on budgeting, cost control, commitments and cash flow forecasting.
• Support the implementation and improvement of finance systems, processes and controls.
• Contribute to FP&A, tax, finance transformation and wider business partnering initiatives.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure robust financial reporting and control.

Candidate profile

• Strong experience across accounting, financial control and management reporting.
• Good knowledge of IFRS and core accounting principles.
• Experience in a CAPEX-heavy, construction, infrastructure, real estate or other project-based environment would be advantageous.
• Experience with project accounting, fixed assets, leases or assets under construction is highly relevant.
• Experience supporting ERP implementation or finance transformation would be beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a practical and hands-on approach.
• Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and translating finance requirements into effective processes and controls.
• A self-starter who enjoys building and improving processes within a growing organisation.
