Finance Manager

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of financial management including budgeting, forecasting, auditing, tax, and accounting functions of the company.
• Generate financial reports related to budgets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, etc.
• Ensure timely and accurate report and account reconciliations.
• Develop strategies to improve financial growth and operational efficiency.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
• Assist in preparing budgets or financial forecasting.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance and report on financial status on a regular basis.
• Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
• Ensure compliance with financial and legal regulations
• Assisting in the preparation of budgets and financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and reports for government regulatory agencies
• Collaborating with the finance manager in setting fiscal goals and objectives
• Monitoring financial details to ensure legal compliance
• Coordinating with management and staff to prepare budgets and consolidate financial data
• Using financial modelling to simulate financial scenarios
• Assist in presenting financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings
• Staying up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes
• Establishing and maintaining financial policies and procedures for the company
• Recommending cost-reducing solutions
• Assisting in auditing financial information and ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded

Requirements

• A minimum of bachelor's degree or recognized professional qualification in finance / accountancy or other related disciplines from a reputable University.
• Member of a recognized professional accounting body such as MICPA, ACCA, ICAEW, CPA or CIMA is compulsory.
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in related industry, added advantage in a mix of international, local and GLC / government environment.
• Existing networking with relevant statutory bodies and agencies is an added advantage.
