Finance Manager

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team.

sea chefs is a group of companies offering hotel, restaurant and crew management services for both seagoing and river cruise vessels. It is one of the cruise industry’s leading service providers worldwide.

Currently, we employ and manage about 16,000 employees onboard a fleet of more than 65 of seagoing and river cruise ships; plus, we employ 200 employees in our shoreside offices based:

• in Zug in Switzerland,

• in Limassol in Cyprus,

• in Valletta in Malta, and

• in Hamburg and Berlin in Germany

• and recently in Athens, Greece.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring strong financial governance, operational efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all finance-related departments, including Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, and Payroll

• Manage the company’s financial planning, reporting, analysis, and control activities

• Ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements, tax regulations, and internal policies

• Support strategic and long-term business planning alongside senior management

• Monitor financial performance, identify risks, and recommend practical solutions

• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes

• Ensure the accuracy and quality of financial reporting and internal controls

• Coordinate with external auditors and act as a key finance contact

• Review and improve accounting procedures, policies, and business processes

• Manage Cyprus VAT matters and government reporting requirements

• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvements

• Draft statutory financial statements for the Group of Companies

• Ensure finance operations are efficient, effective, and aligned with best practices

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance, Economics, or a related field

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar senior finance position

• Strong understanding and practical application of IFRS

• Experience within the shipping industry will be considered an advantage

• Knowledge of the maritime and crewing industry, both locally and internationally, is highly desirable

• Excellent written and spoken English

• Valid passport with ability to travel when required
