FINANCE MANAGER

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our team at Villea Rompin Resort & Golf, based in Kuala Rompin, Pahang. This role focuses on overall finance and accounting functions of the resorts, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective financial controls, budget management and compliance with company policies and procedures alignment with Attana Hotels & Resorts overall strategy and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the overall finance and accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Prepare and monitor the annual operating budget and capital expenditure (CAPEX), and ensure expenses are controlled within approved budgets.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs and financial procedures.
• Manage accounting functions including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Cashier, Credit and Night Audit.
• Oversee purchasing activities, including supplier sourcing, price negotiation, purchase requisitions, supplier performance and procurement compliance.
• Monitor purchasing costs, product pricing, quality and continuity of supply to support smooth hotel operations.
• Oversee F&B cost control, stock count and inventory management, including monitoring food and beverage costs against budget.
• Ensure proper store and receiving management, including FIFO practices, stock levels, shelf life, cleanliness and storage conditions.
• Monitor and control hotel assets, including asset write-off and disposal procedures.
• Lead, supervise and develop the Finance team to achieve departmental objectives and maintain high standards of productivity.

About you

• A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry.
• Strong experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, cost controls and financial performance analysis.
• Experienced in preparing and reviewing financial reports, annual budget, management accounts and capital expenditure proposals.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to guide, develop and manage the finance team effectively.
