Finance Manager

About the role

Lead all accounting processes across the portfolio of companies, overseeing financial operations in a retail environment. This role involves managing finance teams, developing financial strategies, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all accounting processes across the portfolio of companies
• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Collaborate with management to develop budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
• Implement and monitor effective internal controls to safeguard company assets, including inventories, cash, fixed assets, and other critical assets, ensuring compliance with financial regulations
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to provide insights for decision-making and strategic planning
• Monitor and manage cash flow to optimize liquidity and working capital
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax-related documents and payments
• Collaborate with other departments, including HR and operations, to provide financial guidance and support
• Continuously identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy
• Review VAT and WHT calculations and filings

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with a strong background in the retail industry
• Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing finance teams and cross-functional collaboration
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Proficiency in financial management systems and advanced Excel skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment
