Finance Manager

About the role

We are a board-level GPU repair centre serving customers across the region. As we scale our team across the region, we are looking for a Finance Manager to take full ownership of the company's accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance across Malaysia and Singapore.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across corporate tax, import tax and customs duties, withholding tax, and full-set accounts, and is comfortable working in a bilingual (Chinese/English) environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping and full-set accounts for the company's Malaysia and Singapore operations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and management accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
• Own corporate tax, indirect tax, withholding tax and statutory compliance across Malaysia and Singapore, including timely filings, payments and supporting documentation.
• Monitor tax obligations, deadlines and regulatory changes across both jurisdictions, advising management on compliance requirements and business impact.
• Manage or coordinate import/export documentation, customs duties and applicable taxes for Malaysia and Singapore operations.
• Liaise with Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM), Singapore Customs, and other relevant parties where required.
• Coordinate annual financial audits and provide auditors with required schedules, supporting documents and explanations.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, controls and finance systems.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• 3–5+ years of relevant finance experience with strong hands-on full-set accounting, financial reporting and corporate tax experience.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysia accounting and tax requirements, with practical working knowledge of Singapore corporate tax, GST and statutory requirements.
• Experience managing audits, statutory filings, financial controls and compliance independently, with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; strong communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Experience supporting cross-border finance, tax, import/export or customs matters across Malaysia and Singapore.
• Experience working with external auditors, tax advisers and accounting service providers in a fast-paced startup or regional environment.
