Common Table Group recently acquired 57 former Whitbread sites and we are seeking a Finance Manager to join the team to help create and establish the finance systems and processes.

The Role

The Accountant will maintain accurate financial records across 57 restaurants, overseeing ledger integrity, reconciliations, fixed assets and reporting. Working with the Financial Controller and Accounts Assistant, they will turn high-volume operational data into reliable accounts, resolve discrepancies and support a controlled launch and efficient month-end close.

Key Responsibilities

What you’ll be doing:

• Maintain accurate accounting records, including the chart of accounts, journals, opening balances, fixed assets and period-end adjustments.
• Own daily sales, cash, card, bank and balance-sheet reconciliations, investigating and escalating discrepancies promptly.
• Produce reliable trial balances, restaurant-level reports and supporting schedules while documenting processes and supporting finance testing and close.
