Finance Manager

About the role

We are a ultra-luxury concierge company serving ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. We are seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to own management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial dashboard accuracy. Working closely with our bookkeeper and leadership team, you will turn closed financial results into clear explanations, reliable forecasts, and actionable recommendations. You must be comfortable maintaining an existing financial model and personally producing the reports.

Key responsibilities

• Monthly board pack and management commentary: Prepare the monthly reporting pack, explaining financial performance, key movements, risks, and decisions needed from leadership.
• Monthly budget versus actual reporting: Compare results against budget, investigate material variances, and explain what drove them and what action is required.
• FY2027 budget: Finalize the FY2027 budget within the existing financial model, validate assumptions with leadership, and maintain an approved baseline with clearly documented revisions.
• Rolling forecast: Update forecasts as bookings, membership renewals, staffing, and other costs change. Distinguish confirmed business from pipeline assumptions and flag emerging cash or profitability gaps.
• Dashboard reconciliation: Reconcile financial dashboard figures to the completed monthly close, resolve discrepancies, and maintain consistent definitions across reports.
• Revenue and cash planning: Reflect the timing differences between membership sales, recognized revenue, trip bookings, and cash receipts.
• Decision support: Translate financial findings into specific recommendations on spending, sales requirements, resource allocation, and profitability.

About you

• Proven experience owning management reporting, budgets, and rolling forecasts.
• Strong financial modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Working knowledge of accrual accounting, deferred revenue, and revenue recognition.
• Experience partnering with bookkeepers or accounting teams to validate reporting.
• Ability to explain financial results clearly to founders and non-financial colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail, reliable delivery, and ownership of discrepancies through resolution.
• Experience with membership, hospitality, travel, concierge, or other service businesses preferred.
• CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
