Finance Manager

WERT Philippines, Inc. is seeking an experienced and results-driven Finance Manager to lead the company's financial planning, reporting, accounting operations, and internal control functions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening financial performance, managing cash flow, optimizing costs, and supporting strategic business decisions. This position requires strong financial expertise, leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure financial sustainability and operational efficiency.

Candidates with experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), distribution, or related industries are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis to support business objectives.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and financial performance analyses.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other key financial indicators.
• Oversee accounting operations and ensure the accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of financial transactions.
• Analyze product profitability, pricing, margins, sales performance, and operating costs to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor inventory valuation and movements, including slow-moving, obsolete, or potentially impaired stocks, in coordination with relevant departments.
• Partner with Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations to improve cost efficiency, profitability, and overall financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Philippine accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Strengthen financial controls, policies, procedures, and risk-management practices to safeguard company assets and promote accountability.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other financial institutions on financial and regulatory matters.
• Provide financial insights, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management to support business planning, investments, and strategic decisions.
• Lead, supervise, and develop the Finance and Accounting team while promoting accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Perform other finance-related duties as may be assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with substantial relevant experience.
• At least 7–10 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG, distribution, or related industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, taxation, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems, accounting software, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and cross-functional teams.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and sound professional judgment.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet reporting deadlines, and maintain the confidentiality of financial information.
