NOW HIRING – AUTOMOTIVE FINANCE MANAGER

Empire Motors of Lansing is looking for an experienced, motivated Finance Manager to join our growing team!

We are looking for someone who understands the automotive finance business, has strong lender relationships, knows how to get deals approved, and can manage the finance process from beginning to end.

The right candidate will be organized, dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced used-car dealership. We want someone who takes ownership of their department, works well with the sales team, and knows how to maximize profitability while providing customers with a great buying experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with banks, credit unions, and subprime lenders to obtain competitive financing approvals.
• Structure deals to maximize approvals, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Submit and manage credit applications through RouteOne, Credit Acceptance CAPS, and other lender portals.
• Maintain strong relationships with lenders and stay informed on lending programs and guidelines.
• Review credit applications, income, debt-to-income ratios, loan-to-value ratios, and lender requirements.
• Present financing options, extended warranties, GAP coverage, and other available protection products.
• Ensure all finance paperwork, contracts, and supporting documents are accurate and complete.
• Work closely with sales associates and management to ensure smooth deal transitions.
• Collect and verify required stipulations, including proof of income, residency, insurance, references, and down payments.
• Monitor contracts in transit, funding delays, lender stipulations, and outstanding deals.
• Maintain accurate records and follow all applicable state and federal lending and compliance regulations.
• Hold yourself and the finance department accountable for productivity, organization, and results.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive F&I management experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with prime, near-prime, and subprime financing.
• Knowledge of RouteOne, Credit Acceptance CAPS, and automotive lender portals.
• Strong understanding of credit, lender advances, deal structuring, and funding procedures.
• Ability to negotiate, problem-solve, and work through challenging credit situations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deals at once.
• Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-first mentality.
