Position Overview

We are seeking a versatile, highly collaborative Finance Manager to lead the financial architecture of

our medical device and rehab support business on-site at our corporate office. This dual-focus role

demands a combination of operational accounting discipline and high-level strategic insight. You will

oversee day-to-day financial health, manage inventory and regulatory accounting, and drive corporate

financial planning and analysis (FP&A). Crucially, you will navigate the complexities of healthcare

funding, optimizing our revenue cycle across commercial insurance and government reimbursement

models.

The ideal candidate should be highly organized, responsible, and capable of multitasking in a fast

paced startup environment.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Key Responsibilities

Daily Financial Operations & Accounting

• Core Accounting: Oversee daily accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), billing cycles,

payroll, and general ledger maintenance.

• Financial Closing: Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing robust P&L

statements, balance sheets, and statutory filings.

• Inventory & COGS Management: Direct cost accounting for physical rehab devices,

component sourcing, warehouse logistics, and inventory valuation.

• Audit & Controls: Design, implement, and maintain strict internal control environments; act

as the primary liaison for external auditors.

Strategic Planning, Forecasting & FP&A

• Financial Modelling: Build and maintain sophisticated, multi-year financial models, corporate

budgets, and rolling cash-flow forecasts.

• Growth Advisory: Evaluate the financial viability, ROI, and risk profiles of new rehab product

launches, R&D initiatives, and geographic expansions.

• Variance Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analyses comparing actual financial performance

against forecasts, delivering strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

Reimbursement & Funding Strategy

• Reimbursement Optimization: Analyze and model the financial impacts of public government

funding and private healthcare insurance reimbursement structures on our product portfolio.

• Pricing Strategy: Collaborate with commercial teams to establish strategic pricing models that

align with complex payer fee schedules while maximizing profit margins.

• Payer Mix Analysis: Track and report on revenue cycles tied to institutional insurance billing,

identifying risks and opportunities in payer payment timelines and cash recovery.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field. An MBA

or Master's in Healthcare Management is a major asset.

• Professional Certification: A professional designation such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or CFA is

highly preferred.

• Experience: 5+ years of progressive financial management experience. Direct experience

in the medical device, life sciences, or healthcare sectors is required.

• Specialized Knowledge: Demonstrated familiarity with healthcare reimbursement

ecosystems, medical billing compliance, and GAAP/IFRS standards.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with Malaysian statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO,

EIS, PCB).

• Work Arrangement: Willingness and ability to work 100% on-site at our corporate office

location.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Elite Microsoft Excel skills for data modeling.
• Experience with data tools like PowerBI or Tableau for boardroom-ready
• presentations.
