Role Description The Finance Manager role at BananaBro is a contract, on-site position based in Selangor, Malaysia. The Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support restaurant performance and growth. This role will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, monitoring cost controls, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping. The Finance Manager will also handle financial reporting to management, support audits, maintain compliance with local accounting and tax regulations, and provide insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Collaboration with operations, procurement, and management teams is expected to align financial planning with business goals.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Proficiency in accounting practices, financial reporting, and use of accounting software or ERP systems.
• Experience with cost control, inventory and procurement analysis, and profitability optimization in a retail or F&B environment.
• Knowledge of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit preparation processes in Malaysia.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to work on-site in Selangor, manage multiple priorities, and operate in a fast-paced, customer-focused business.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) are an advantage.
• Previous experience as a Finance Manager or similar senior finance role, ideally in hospitality, food and beverage, or retail.
