Finance Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee daily finance and accounting operations in Malaysia.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports and financial analyses.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, expenses and financial performance.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial controls.
• Coordinate monthly and year-end financial closing activities.
• Ensure financial records are accurate and properly maintained.
• Work closely with the headquarters in China on financial reporting, budgeting, financial policies and other finance-related matters.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper financial processes and documentation.
• Monitor compliance with applicable Malaysian accounting standards, tax requirements and statutory obligations.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and operational efficiency.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management to support business decisions.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Relevant experience in finance and accounting, with management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management and accounting practices.
• Familiarity with Malaysian accounting standards and statutory requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to coordinate with teams across Malaysia and China.
• Able to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Mandarin proficiency is an advantage for communication with the China headquarters.
