About the Company

Pragathy Group is a business group based in Kodungalloor, Kerala, started in 2016. It has two wholesale distribution businesses: Swastik Traders, which supplies construction and farming materials, and Optima Distributors, which supplies household products. It also has two retail businesses: Pragathy Home Needs, a household showroom, and Pragathy Plastics, a retail shop for construction and farming materials.

Job Summary

Pragathy Group is looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Finance Manager to lead the Accounts & Finance function across the group. The successful candidate will oversee financial planning, accounting, budgeting, cash flow, statutory compliance, and management reporting, while guiding the accounts team and supporting the General Manager in strategic financial decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the finance team, including the Accounts Manager and Credit Controller.

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for all divisions and monitor performance against targets.

• Manage cash flow, working capital, banking, and fund planning.

• Ensure timely and accurate bookkeeping, monthly closing, and preparation of financial statements.

• Oversee GST, TDS, income tax, and other statutory filings and compliance.

• Monitor receivables, payables, and credit control to maintain healthy liquidity.

• Analyse costs, margins, and profitability and recommend improvement measures.

• Coordinate with the Purchase, Inventory, Distribution, and Retail teams on financial controls.

• Present periodic MIS and financial reports to the management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

• B.Com / M.Com

• MBA (Finance)

Experience & Skills

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in a senior accounts or finance role.

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.

• Proficiency in Tally / ERP software and MS Excel.

• Strong analytical, budgeting, and financial reporting skills.

• Team leadership and strong communication abilities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in Trading, Distribution, Retail, or FMCG-related organizations.

• Experience managing multi-division or multi-location financial operations.
